GALLOWS HILL PROJECT
Gallows Hill Project is an award winning community project established in 2015 to investigate and promote a hill of unknown origins in Dungarvan, Co Waterford. The project has completed six years of investigations with many specialists and in 2016 became part of the Heritage Councils, Adopt a Monument Ireland. The group have uncovered a site that has been reused over a significant period from the 5th to 17th century AD.
PLACENAMES of the Decies
During lockdown 2020 weekly Decies place names story were posted on our Facebook inspired by Historian Re. Patrick Powers, Place names of the Decies. The stories examine some of the more intriguing place-names of Waterford and the origins to these names.
